THE HEART BEHIND

CHARITY PEOPLE 2 PEOPLE

Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuh, My Dear Friends,

I pray this message finds you in the best of health and Iman.

My name is Aisha, and I’m the founder of Charity People 2 People. I want to take a moment to introduce myself so you know the heart behind this mission. I am a Russian convert to Islam and a mother to five beautiful children, Alhamdulillah. We live in Orlando, Florida, and like many of you, I’ve had my own personal journey that led me to where I am today.

I prefer not to show my face online in order to keep my volunteering sincere for the sake of Allah and to preserve the haya and modesty of a Muslim woman. Some of you met me at Jumah at Masjid Rahman. However, I do share photos and videos of all the projects we complete on my social media pages. You can also visit my YouTube channel to watch the project videos and see the impact firsthand.

Every charity has a story — and this is mine.

I embraced Islam in 2008. By 2016, after eight years of practicing the religion, I realized something troubling: my heart felt hard. I didn’t feel the compassion or emotional connection I knew a believer should feel. I began to worry deeply about the state of my Iman.

Then, I came across an ayah that shook me. It was Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 74:

“Even then your hearts became hardened like a rock or even harder. For some rocks gush rivers; others split, spilling water; while others are humbled in awe of Allah. And Allah is never unaware of what you do.”

That verse pierced my soul. I knew I had to do something to soften my heart. I began researching how to revive the heart, and I came across lectures by various Imams who emphasized helping the poor and sitting with orphans as a way to bring life back into a hardened heart.

I tried to visit local orphanages, but access was restricted (I lived in Las Vegas back then). I searched for poor and needy people in my area, but I couldn’t find the dire conditions that truly reflect hardship. Then one day, as I was scrolling through Facebook, I saw photos of children in Africa — malnourished, their bones visibly protruding from their skin. The images shattered me. I cried deeply. It was the first time in a long while I felt something real.

I SAW THIS:

That moment changed me.

I imagined standing in front of Allah on the Day of Judgment and being asked:

Aisha, I gave you a home, a warm bed, daily meals, and air conditioning. What did you do for those children?

I feared I would have no answer.

So I decided to act. I began by calling to well-known Islamic organizations. But I had one sincere wish — that every single penny I gave would reach those in need. After calling several nonprofits, I learned that many deduct 15-20% or more from donations to cover administrative costs. As a first-time donor, that didn’t sit well with me. I had small amount to donate. If they would cut 20%, there would be almost nothing left. And that’s when I made a decision:

I’LL START MY OWN CHARITY ORGANIZATION

one that will deliver 100% of donations directly to the poor and needy

At this point, many people ask me, “So how do you make a living?”

Allah ﷻ has blessed me with a business that provides for my family. I own a website design and digital marketing agency, Alhamdulillah. Because of this, I’m able to dedicate my time to serving those in need purely for the sake of Allah, without taking any payment. And yes, I created this website and everything else digitally myself 🙂
